Whilst still being a student of economics, Dr. Ulrich Freiesleben started his first company in the year 1975. Later, his work led to the conferral of his doctorate in philosophy. As an entrepreneur, he has been active in the world of diamonds for over 30 years.

In 1989, when he was the only German diamond wholesales dealer, he founded his own company at the world's biggest diamond bourse in Antwerp. In the early nineties, Ulrich Freiesleben  developed new, internationally patented diamond cuts that are ever since produced in his own diamond manufacture in Germany and that have been sold to customers in over twenty countries.

As an experienced diamond expert, numerous press articles and TV reports cover his work. Business publications frequently cite him as an expert.

Ulrich Freiesleben has numerous honorary positions in charitable institutions and works as a  paid lecturer for economics.

He is married and father of two sons.
